WISPLINGS

Privacy Policy

Effective October 12, 2026

WISPLINGS is a pixel pet collecting game made by Vanbridge LLC (“we” and “us” on this page). This is what the game collects, why, who helps us run it, and how to get rid of it.

The short version.

We keep what the game needs to work, and nothing else.

No ads. No selling or sharing your info. No tracking you across other apps or websites.

You can delete your account and everything we keep for it from inside the game, any time.

1. If you play without an account

Your collection, settings and progress live on your own phone or computer, in the game’s storage. They don’t leave it.

Each visit sends us one anonymous line so we can see how people find the game:

That’s it. No name, no email, no location.

2. If you make an account

3. Friends, offers and the market

These only work with an account. To make them work we keep:

Please don’t put your real name, age, school, address or anything like that in your screen name or notes.

4. Notifications

Only if you turn them on. We keep the push address your browser or phone gives us, which kinds you want (chests, quests, friend requests, offers and invitations), and a short log of what we sent so you don’t get the same one twice. In the iPhone and Android app, some reminders are set on the phone itself and never reach us.

5. What we don’t collect

No contacts, photos, location, microphone, advertising ID or payment details. No ads, and no third-party analytics or trackers. The game doesn’t sell anything for real money.

The scanner uses your camera only while it’s open and you’ve turned it on. It reads barcodes on your device; no picture or video is saved or sent anywhere. To work out what you scanned, the game sends only the barcode number to Open Food Facts (see below). Your save keeps the codes you scanned today and your last few finds, so the daily limit works and they show in the scanner.

6. Who helps us run it

SupabaseAccounts, sign-in and the game’s database. Stored in the United States (Oregon).
NetlifyHosts the website and the game files. Like any web host it keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for a short time.
Push servicesApple, Google and Mozilla deliver notifications to your device, if you turn them on.
Open Food FactsWhen you scan something, its barcode number goes from your device to Open Food Facts, Open Beauty Facts or Open Products Facts, to look up what kind of product it is (books go to Open Library, run by the nonprofit Internet Archive). Like any website they see the request’s IP address; nothing about you or your account is sent. They’re run by the nonprofit Open Food Facts, in France.
App storesIf you get the app from the App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google handle the download under their own privacy policies.

They only use your info to provide their service to us. We don’t sell or share personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising.

7. How long we keep it

8. Your choices

Some places give you these rights by law (California, the EU and the UK among them). We give them to everyone, wherever you live.

9. Kids

WISPLINGS is made for a general audience and isn’t directed to children under 13. Accounts are for players 13 and up, and the game asks before one is made. Younger players can still play without an account; their collection stays on their own device. If we learn that a child under 13 made an account, we delete it. Parents can email hello@playwisplings.com and we’ll help.

10. Keeping it safe

Everything travels encrypted (HTTPS). The database only lets each player reach their own things, and friends only see what’s listed above. No system is perfect, so we keep as little as we can.

11. Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes too. If it’s a big change, we’ll say so in the game’s What’s New.
